Partner visits in Plausible, with Refficks

See the visits partners send you in Plausible, each partner on their own line, with nothing to install.

Nobody has walked these steps against a real Plausible setup yet. They are built from the provider's documentation, listed at the bottom of this page.

What it gives you

  • Partner visits in Plausible, under UTM Source partners, and each partner by their link code under UTM Campaign.

What it does not

  • It shows visits and what Plausible counts, not commission: what a partner is paid is decided in Refficks from their link, and never from these parameters.
  • Keep partner codes in lower case: Plausible keeps "Dana" and "dana" apart on its Campaigns tab.
  • Plausible uses no cookies, so a visitor who comes back on another day is not tied to the partner who first sent them there. Refficks still credits that partner.

Steps

These are the steps as they read inside Refficks. Where one says “below”, it means this guide's page in Refficks, where your own script, addresses and checks are.

  1. 1. Add campaign parameters to every partner link

In Refficks, open Settings → Links and, under "Extra parameters on every link", add utm_source = partners, utm_medium = affiliate and utm_campaign = {code}. {code} becomes each partner's own link code, so every partner gets a line of their own.

They are added to every partner link, existing ones included, and never decide which partner is paid. A partner's own utm_ values on their link give way to yours.

  2. 2. Find partner traffic in Plausible

On your site's Plausible dashboard, open the Campaigns tab of the Top Sources panel. UTM Source and UTM Medium show partners and affiliate; UTM Campaign shows each partner's code on a line of its own.
