ClickFunnels affiliate tracking with Refficks

ClickFunnels 2.0 sends every paid and refunded invoice to Refficks, signed with your webhook secret.

Nobody has walked these steps against a real ClickFunnels setup yet. They are built from the provider's documentation, listed at the bottom of this page.

What it gives you

  • Paid invoices on your funnels (one-time orders and every subscription payment) are credited to the partner whose link brought the buyer.
  • A subscription keeps paying that partner for as long as your plan says, and stops when ClickFunnels reports it canceled.
  • An invoice refunded in full takes the commission back. ClickFunnels signs every delivery, so a commission can approve itself on a plan that does.

What it does not

  • ClickFunnels does not say how much a partial refund was. One is kept and shown, takes nothing back, and you decide on the Commissions page whether to reverse its commission.
  • A buyer is credited through their link only if the funnel's first page was opened with it, or Refficks already knows their email from your site. A buyer who reached your funnel some other way is credited to nobody.
  • A funnel on a domain of your own, rather than your-name.myclickfunnels.com, is handed the visitor from your site only once you add that domain in the step above.
  • ClickFunnels' own affiliate programme and its referral codes are not read. If you run both, a sale can earn a commission in each; use one of them.
  • Each visit in ClickFunnels' report carries the visitor's IP address and browser; both are removed before anything is kept, the address replaced with a one-way code.

Steps

These are the steps as they read inside Refficks. Where one says “below”, it means this guide's page in Refficks, where your own script, addresses and checks are.

  1. 1. Connect ClickFunnels

Press Connect below to get your address. In ClickFunnels, open Workspace Settings → Webhooks and create an endpoint with that address, choosing the events Invoice paid (orders/invoice.paid), Invoice refunded (orders/invoice.refunded) and Subscription canceled.

ClickFunnels then shows the endpoint's webhook secret. Paste it below and save: until it is saved, every delivery is refused.

Only those three. "One-time order invoice paid", "Subscription invoice paid" and "Order completed" report the same payments again, and are kept but not counted.

The connection is made on this guide in Refficks, once you have an account.

  2. 2. Put the Refficks script on your funnels

In ClickFunnels, open Sites → Overview, press the three dots at the top right, choose Site Settings, and paste the snippet into Head Code under Tracking Codes. Press Update Site.

If your partners' links go to your own website first, put the snippet there too: when a visitor clicks through to your funnel, the script adds who they are to the link.

Your copy of the Refficks script, with your own key in it, is on the Integrations page in Refficks.

  3. 3. If your funnels have their own address

A funnel on ClickFunnels' own addresses, like your-name.myclickfunnels.com, needs nothing more. If yours is on a domain of your own, like offers.your-company.com, add it below so links to it from your site hand the visitor on too.

Your checkout's own address is added on this guide in Refficks, once you have an account.

  4. 4. Make a test purchase

Open your funnel through any partner's link, copied from their page under Partners, and buy with the funnel in test mode. It arrives as a test: it shows ClickFunnels reaches Refficks, and records no sale and no commission.

To see a partner credited, place one real order through a partner's link and refund it in full; the refund takes the commission back.
