Wix Stores affiliate tracking with Refficks

Orders are reported from your Wix thank-you page. Refunds you reverse by hand.

Nobody has walked these steps against a real Wix Stores setup yet. They are built from the provider's documentation, listed at the bottom of this page.

What it gives you

  • Orders in your Wix store are credited to the partner whose link brought the buyer, from the thank-you page Wix shows after checkout.
  • Each order in the currency Wix charged it in.

What it does not

  • Every order is reported by the buyer's browser, with nothing from a server to vouch for it, so its commission waits for someone to approve it, even on a plan that approves by itself.
  • Commission is worked out on the total Wix reports, tax and shipping included: Wix does not give the page the two apart.
  • Refunds are not reported. When you refund an order in Wix, reverse its commission by hand on the Commissions page.
  • Custom code needs a published site with a connected domain, which needs a Premium plan.
  • Wix documents its purchase announcement for apps; nobody has heard it from a site's own custom code for Refficks yet. The checks below say whether an order has reached us from yours.
  • A buyer who has not accepted cookies on your site, whose browser sends Global Privacy Control, or who blocks scripts is not reported.

Steps

These are the steps as they read inside Refficks. Where one says “below”, it means this guide's page in Refficks, where your own script, addresses and checks are.

  1. 1. Turn on orders from the browser

    In Refficks, open Settings → Tracking and turn on "Accept orders from the browser". Until then an order sent from Wix's page is refused.

  2. 2. Put the Refficks script on your site

    In your Wix site's dashboard, open Settings → Development & integrations → Custom Code and press Add Custom Code.

    Paste the snippet, choose All pages and Load code once, place it in Head, and press Apply.

    Your copy of the Refficks script, with your own key in it, is on the Integrations page in Refficks.

  3. 3. Report each order

    Press Add Custom Code again and paste this. Choose All pages and Load code on each new page, place it in Body - end, and press Apply.

    It listens for the purchase Wix announces on its thank-you page and reports it with Wix's order number, total and currency. Nothing about the buyer is sent.

  4. 4. Make a test order

    Wix runs custom code only on your published site with its connected domain. Open it through any partner's link, copied from their page under Partners, and buy something. The checks below turn green as each part is seen.

    A test order arrives as a sale with a commission waiting for approval. Check that its total matches Wix's, then reject the commission on the Commissions page.
